Small Beauty Haul + review Body Shop

Hi guys,
How are you? It's pretty hot this week! Despite of the weather I (Rose) decided to go shopping and I thought: why not do a haul for you all? :)  So here are all the stuff I got:

First I went to the Body Shop. My father gave my a 35€ gift card a while ago and I really wanted to spend it today!
So as you can see on the picture I got three things. Well, actually four, but one is a sample so that doesn't really count. The sample is from the new Morocco-line which will be introduced in August. The blue tube is a exfoliator for your face.  I had this one before and I really liked it, therefore I wanted to buy it again. It's the 'Seaweed pore-cleansing facial exfoliator'. This facial polish helps to cleanse pores and rebalance oil. When you've used this product, your skin is as soft as a baby!

I also wanted to get a new conditioner and this one smells amazing! Even after the day I washed my hair, you can still smell it. The conditioner is specially developed for fine hair. And since I have very, very fine hair, I can use a volume boost! This 'Rainforest Volume' should volume your hair without weighing your hair down. It's also Eco-conscious.

A last I wanted a body lotion/body butter because my current one (not from Body Shop) is almost empty.  Normally I don't buy one from the bodyShop because you pay almost 20€ and that's a lot of money if you don't really like the smell of it. But this time I found a really sweet and soft smell: 'Moringa Body butter'.
But after I tried it, I was really disappointed. I knew this body butter is meant to hydrate your skin, but this one is so oily, your skin is even after 1 day still greasy (even after a very thin layer). So now it's back in my closet...

That was a small review of all the products I got from the body shop, but since this was only a shopping haul, i won't bore you with a further review of the products and only show u the pictures ;)

We loooove Mac!

I wanted a good quality concealer for a long time, so I got the Studio fix concealer in 15 en 20 (20 for my mother) together with the Mac 242 Concealer brush.

I bought the Sheertone shimmer Blush in "Springsheen" as well. A makeup artist helped me pick the colour. It's between a cream and powder in. The colour is so lovely!

On the last picture you see a notebook, a box of nailstickers and a cute, tiny cupcake-lipgloss. The notebook is a present for my grandmothers birthday this week.

Hope you liked this Haul

Let me know if you want to see another one!

Summer room decorations

Hi guys!

We don't know about you all, but the summer really makes us happy!!
Once in a while we want to re-decorate our room. And now we have vacation, it's the perfect time to do! Since we both are completely broke, we decided to come up with some cute decorations which are easily made with the most cheap things there are available! Let's get started!

             " summer bucketlist "

For this decoration you'll need:

~ a bulletin board or just a blank canvas
~ a marker (any colour you want)
~ white paper
~ thumbtacks

1) First of all, you are going to decorate your bulletin board or canvas. You can decorate the sides of it, or paint the background. Anything you like!
2) Then it's time to about your bucketlist for the summer, the things you really want to do: going to the beach, hanging out with your best friend at Starbucks, whatever you want!
3) If you've made your list complete, you're going to write them down on your papers. (They can be cut in any size to give your board a different look). To make it even more cute, take different colour markers!
4) As last you just have to pin the pieces of papers on your bulletin board with the thumbtacks. And you're finished! You can also print some cute images of the sun, or flipflops and pin them on your Bucket board! Be creative!!

                 " photo cord "

For this decoration you'll need:

~  some cute photo's/quotes
~ gummy (or anything to secure your       cord with)
~ a cord (any type you want)
~ some wooden clothes pegs (small ones)

1) First you're going to cut the cord in the size you want and then you're going to secure the cord with the gummi or glue at any place you want, for example on your wall or closet.
2) After that you need to secure your photo's/images/quotes with the wooden clothes pegs on your cord. And voila!
You can always decorate your cord or wooden clothes pegs if you want!

              " flower vase"

For this decoration you'll need:

~ some old jam jars or even a pringles can will work!
~ coloured paper or with a pattern
~ decorations to decorate your vase (glitters, strings, paint etc.)
~ glue
~ flowers to put in your vase (fake or real)

1) First you have to rub your "vase" in with the glue
2) Thereafter you need to wrap paper around your "vase" and wait for it to dry. This can take a while!
3) Afterwords you're going to decorate your "vase" with the decorations you picked. For example with some glitters, some cute buttons or an image/photo/quote.  Put your flower(s) in your home made vase and you're finished!

We hope you liked this post and happy decorating!

Testing Biotherm Aquasource

Three weeks ago the doorbell rang: it was the postman with a package. How exciting! We signed up to test a product of Biotherm, but we didn't expect to be actually chosen to test it! But well, here it is: a box full of products to test. We would like to give you a review with our honest opinion. Biotherm is a world famous luxury skin care company, owned by L'oreal. Since 1970 Biotherm has been developing innovative skin care products, of which we're now able to test a brand new one:                                                         Biotherm Aquasource Gel

What's in the box?

You see a part of the contents of the box on the picture above (it was too much to put them all in the picture). The little packages on the left are testers for the normal and combined skin, on the right testers for the dry skin. These testers (more than 20) should be handed out to relatives, friends and family. The intention is that they test the product as well so they can experience the "refreshing and hydrating effect of the Biotherm Aquasource gel".  There's 5 ml in each package. I think it's perfect they gave us testers for multiple skin types. In that way you can test a product that truly suits your skin. And you want your skin to improve, not to recede, right?

In the center stands the original product (50 ml) for normal and combination skin. When we signed up for testing this product, we had to provide our skin type so we could test the right product. The product is available for Dry skin, normal/combination skin and greasy skin
Beauty from the Deep
First reaction: the casing looks amazing! I really like the slogan "Beauty from the deep". The slogan is actually very logical since Aquasource is partially made of Plankton. The product is especially produced for woman between the age of 18 and 35 and should keep the skin hydrated. An important ingredient is deep mineral water: it's the origin of all life, so why wouldn't it keep the skin young?

The gel is a really soft substance and it looks a little bit green. The smell is absolutely delicious! An asset is that the gel feels really soft on your skin. Most other gels or moisturizers leave a greasy layer on your skin (blergh!) but this one doesn't have that. For an ultimate result you should use the gel twice a day, right after you cleaned your face.

Coupons (We love them!)

in the box were a lot of coupons as well. I didn't count them but as you can see on the picture there were quite a lot. The coupon gives you a discount of 5 euro's on a Bioyherm Aquasource product.

By the Way: we love Gossip Girl! Leighton Meister is the new role model of Biotherm Aquasource. She has such a lovely skin so I hope we can get that as well with this gel!

Result

So? Did you like it? Yes, I really like the gel. I would definitely recommend this product to you: it has just such a nice substance and the smell is delicious. Certainly with the discount it's really worth the money. You can already get the gel for 36$ or €39.

Hope you guys liked this review. Let us know if you want another review or beautyblog.

Festival-proof outfits

Hi everyone!

Yippee it's summer! Sun, relaxing, going out with friends and the best of all: the festivals! Even though Coachella is already over, there are so many more to come! And well, that means we have to create an outfit which is party-proof and stylish, because there may be some cute boys around there ;)

The first must have for the perfect outfit is a cute crop top. They are extremely popular and we can guess why! They are really cute and easy to wear. A crop top can easily be combined with shorts or a skater skirt to show your beautiful tanned legs in. Winter is over so wear those bright colored tops and floral t-shirts!

Rose's hair done by Chloé :)

If you don't have any floral themed clothing: don't worry. You can always get a nice accessory. Totally hot this summer are floral hair accessories: in a braid, clip, elastic. They can be bought at a lot of stores and aren't that expensive. Or if you don't want to spend any money: take a real flower! Pick a flower on the side of the road on your way to the festival and put it in your hair with a bobby pin.

And last but not least you'll need to finish your outfit with some cool accessories : A necklace, some sunglasses, a cute clutch, some earrings and some sweet sandals and you are ready to go! :)

3 Healthy & Simple Breakfast Ideas

It's finally summer! Alright, perhaps it's not officially summer yet, but it does feel like summer!
Most of you guys are probably in your last semester of high school or college with a lot of homework to do, essays to make, tests to learn, boring teachers to listen to... and stressed mornings to weather! When I have to get up early, I don't give myself a lot of time to get ready - who doesn't like to sleep a little bit longer and hit the snooze button again, right? ;) - so I neither have time to make a extensive breakfast.
Thus with summer coming up I decided to try out a couple of quick, easy and healthy ideas for a delicious breakfast with fruit.

Superfood Oatmeal

Ever heard of Oatmeal? Maybe you had it when you were a little child, or maybe you never heard of it. Well, since a few weeks it's my favorite breakfast: I'm in love with it! My mom "discovered" it when she had to start a special diet for her health (long story) and ever since I eat it almost every day.
Oatmeal is also known as a superfood: it's super healthy! And super tasty! And what do we want more?
Normally when I had breakfast, I was already getting hungry after 1 hour or less, even though I ate enough during breakfast. Oatmeal ensures that carbohydrates are being absorbed really slowly, so you don't get hungry. Uhm, carbohydrates? Yup but not much ;)  Although oatmeal is full of antioxidants, vitamins and fibers, in one bowl of oatmeal are only 115 carbohydrates.

How do you make it?
You can buy canned oatmeal in the supermarket, but you can make it yourself as easily!                                                                                                                             Put 6 spoons of oatmeal in a bowl and add 250 ml of water (or milk). You can heat it in the microwave as follow: 4 times on 1000 watt for 30 seconds, and stir between each 30 seconds. It should look like a pudding.                                                                                                             You can also heat it on the stove: of course, you can't heat a bowl so you have to put it in a pan. First add the water or milk and make sure it boils. Then add the oatmeal and boil and stir it for about one minute. You can put it in a bowl thereafter.                                                                                                                                                       Last but not least: add any fruit you want: apple, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, pineapple... It'll give a refreshing taste to your breakfast! Yummy, enjoy :)

Greek Yogurt

This is a well known recipe, but I still wanted to share it with you guys! With this meal you can start of your day with a refreshment, and it's even easier (for the lazy persons among us ^^ ). You just take a couple of spoons of Greek or French yogurt and add some fruit and/or muesli. If you really want to be healthy you shouldn't eat any cornflakes because there's a lot of sugar in it. You can buy unsweetened or natural cornflakes/ at the health food shops, but still are fruit and muesli better. And fruit is also sweet and much healthier!

Crackers, Yogurt and Fruit

A friend of my mom's suggested this and it's really tasty! But I should warn you immediately: you have to eat it a bit quick, because otherwise the crackers get swampy from the yogurt. If you're really in a festive mood - or you just love it! -  you can also use waffles instead of the crackers It's even better with whipped cream!

How do you make it?
Spread your crackers (I usually take 2, but that depends on how big your crackers/waffles are) with a generous layer of yogurt. Thereafter, bestrew it with your favorite fruit and enjoy! I really like the combination strawberry, blueberry en raspberry. If you add pineapple at this you get a nice balance between sweet and sour flavors.
Whole-Wheat cracker with yogurt, strawberry, blueberry and peaches

I hope you enjoyed this post :) Let me know in a comment below what your healthy breakfast is or suggestions for a next blog.

Nice to meet you!

Hi everyone :)
Welcome to our blog! We're Rose and Chloé, two best friends who are really excited to enter the world of blogging. We wanted to start a blog for a long time but couldn't find the time (ugh school!) to start one.
Today the time was finally here to start our blog. A big problem was to come up with a cute blog name: what suits us and is also catchy? Does it have to be original, funny, modern, inspirational or just something with the word 'fashion' or 'beauty' in it? Or nothing like that at all? We'll be writing about everything what's on our mind, so choising one keyword didn't feel right for us. After hours of careful consideration, we decided to go (simple) for :

Rose and Chloé
*(Full names: Chloé and Rosalie)

By the way, writing blogs in English is gonna be a tough challenge since it isn't our native language (so sorry for any mistakes!), but we're doing the best we can!

What's our blog about?
We'll be writing about fashion, beauty, cooking, baking, DIY's, Tutorials, Nailart, photographs, lifestyle and lots and lots more! Our blog is currently under construction, but let us know what you're missing!

We hope to see you soon!
